Private Cape Winelands Tour
Private full-day Winelands tour from Cape Town — Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. Visit 3–4 award-winning wine estates with a dedicated driver, so nobody has to choose between the tasting room and the wheel.
The Cape Winelands are one of the oldest wine-producing regions outside Europe, with more than 300 years of history and some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in the country. STA Transport Solutions runs private Winelands tours from Cape Town so you can taste freely, take your time, and let someone else worry about the driving.
A typical day covers three or four estates across Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl — the three most famous appellations. You'll usually start with a morning tasting and cellar tour, break for lunch at an estate restaurant, and finish with a late-afternoon tasting before the drive back to Cape Town.
Because the tour is private, you choose the estates. First-time visitors often want a mix — a historic property like Boschendal or Vergelegen, a modern architectural estate like Delaire Graff or Waterkloof, and a smaller family-run winery. Wine enthusiasts sometimes prefer a deep dive on a single varietal or a specific sub-region. Tell us what interests you and we'll build the day.
Franschhoek's Wine Tram is a popular alternative or add-on, and we can drop you off, arrange a break for the tram loop, and collect you at the end of the day. If you'd prefer to combine cellar visits with an olive tasting or a chocolate pairing (Waterford or Spice Route), just ask.
All estate visits, tastings, cellar tours and meals are on your own account and paid at each estate. Some venues appreciate a booking, especially in high season (December–February) and around weekends — we'll help you plan the day and make reservations if you'd like.
