Private Cape Peninsula Tour

Private full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula from Cape Town — Chapman's Peak Drive, Cape Point Nature Reserve, the Cape of Good Hope, and the African penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

8–10 hours
~180 km loop
Fully Private

The Cape Peninsula is one of the most spectacular scenic drives in the world — a full-day loop that takes you from Cape Town along the Atlantic coast, over Chapman's Peak Drive, down to the Cape of Good Hope, then back along False Bay via Simon's Town and Boulders Beach. STA Transport Solutions runs this as a fully private tour: just you and your travelling party, a professional driver-guide, and a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.

The tour typically starts with pickup from your Cape Town hotel around 8:30am. From there we take the Atlantic coast route through Camps Bay, Llandudno and Hout Bay, stopping at scenic viewpoints along the way. Chapman's Peak Drive — nine kilometres of cliffside road cut into the mountain — is one of the highlights of the day.

At Cape Point Nature Reserve, you'll have time to ride the funicular (or walk) up to the old lighthouse, and to walk out to the Cape of Good Hope sign for the classic photo at the south-western tip of Africa. In summer, allow extra time here — the views are worth it.

The return leg goes via Simon's Town for lunch (your choice — we recommend Bertha's or Salty Sea Dog) and Boulders Beach, home to a colony of endangered African penguins that you can watch from raised boardwalks just metres away.

Because we're private, the itinerary is completely flexible. Prefer more time at Boulders and less at Cape Point? Want to add a stop at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the way back? Interested in the World of Birds sanctuary at Hout Bay? Tell us in advance and we'll build the day around your priorities.
